![]() I have ten kids and even the older ones get freaked out on the bike, one who can reach the foot boards said she wished she had a seat. I bought a used one without running boards and Rad, of course, doesn't stock the old parts. You can have a deckpad section and the maxi seat so your child can gradually get used to not sitting in it on shorter and gentler rides then go back to it for longer rides or rides where there’s traffic. Im wondering if theres any 3rd party companies that make reliable options for a caboose, running boards or deckpad. This is a bit of a shot in the dark but wanted to see if anyone on the board had an extra right running board for the 2019 Rad Wagon that they'd be willing to sell. We use it around the maxi seat for extra protection and I like having it there. My best advice if you have older kids is to get the caboose. ![]() It’s not a hard limit like a car seat in a vehicle where the seat can fail in a crash if you don’t follow it. The weight is really just a guideline for a bike seat regarding who will fit and what’s comfortable. Press the stem release button on the side of the lever while lifting the lever upward. I’ve also put a child over 50lbs in the maxi seat and it was just fine. Turn off the bike, remove the battery, and press and hold MODE to discharge remaining power. Even then their feet don’t reach the running boards but their hands are strong enough to keep themselves in place during turns. I don’t let my kids ride on the wagon without a seat until they’re at least 6-7 years old. I have a child over a year older than yours and about the same weight who is still comfortably fitting in the maxi seat.
